Adventures and Visions

In 2004, I obtained my first digital camera and was enraptured by the opportunities available when the digital images were made directly. These can be seen in some of the other albums in “Early Explorations”. My most recent images are displayed in “Adventures and Visions”, and some of the highlights from the past few years are found in the rotating “Exhibits” section. Click on the section in the main menu to choose a gallery, then scroll down to see the albums in each gallery. Click to view pictures in each album. Use the main menu to navigate among galleries. Images captured with an iPhone X through the window of a commercial airliner. We live in the future. That we can do this is still astonishing to me.
Big Obsidian Flow 2019
The Big Obsidian Flow is south of Bend, Oregon, and one of the most astonishing places I have been. It is a one square mile eruption of black glass and pumice that flowed out a mere 1300 years ago. Standing in the middle of this rock and glass landscape is something I will never get tired of doing.
